The hallmarks of this distinctive German pottery style are several layers of thick glazes, with one dripping down over the others like a lava flow on a volcano’s slope. The vases present its Brutalist volcanic effect purely visually, beneath a polished top glaze. Also characteristic are the striking colors, including molten gold.
