Circa 1960 | Glass
A beautiful and sleek hand blown glass vase designed by the Swedish glass art pioneer, Vicke Lindstrand. Designed in the early 1960s while Lindstrand was Artistic Director at Kosta glassworks, the beautiful minimalistic design features solid hand blown smoky-blue transparent glass. Lindstrand experimented with both glass and ceramics in an innovative way that at times diverged from Swedish mid-century trends. Lindstrand's work is featured in collections at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, and The Museum of Modern Art in New York.
